Accounting Manager
Our client, a private investment office managing multi-generational family assets and philanthropy, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its team.
Location The position is on-site in Menlo Park, CA, Monday through Friday.
Job Description This role offers exposure to complex accounting operations and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and best practices.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including cash receipts, disbursements, and proper classification
Prepare financial statements and supporting workpapers for multiple entities
Perform month-end reconciliations of cash and general ledger accounts
Coordinate with tax teams by providing schedules and documentation
Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems, controls, and processes
Maintain organized accounting records and ensure compliance with internal policies
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred
4–5 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ability to manage large volumes of transactional data
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to:
The individual’s skill sets, experience, and training;
Licensure and certifications;
Office location and other geographic considerations;
Other business and organizational needs.
