Responsibilities for an RN Unit Manager:
Assume responsibility and accountability for resident care on assigned unit Oversee resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning possible for assigned unit Ensure complete and prompt reporting of incidents with follow‑up as necessary to Administrator and Director of Nursing Actively participate in committee/programs as directed by Director of Nursing Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures based on identified needs Qualifications for an RN Unit Manager
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Massachusetts Valid BLS Certification (CPR) Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Five (5) or more years of nursing experience required; Two (2) years or more years of experience as a supervisor in a nursing care center, hospital or other related health care center.
