About the Opportunity: One of the largest and most highly-ranked schools for health- and life sciences is hiring a Financial Aid Specialist who will consistently deliver service for students, staff, and parents in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner.
Functions:
Serve as primary liaison with the university's third-party party billing and payment plan partner.
Work collaboratively with staff from the Student Accounts Office and University Business Office.
Create a communication schedule for contacting our students in a timely manner on pertinent topics.
Maintain and distribute reports for counselors to follow up on students with missing items and balance due.
Outreach to students via telephone, email, and text message. Meet with students in person and virtually.
Must Haves:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience filing, submitting, and working on Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Proven experience in student personnel administration, preferably in financial aid or student accounts.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate well by telephone and email, in addition to face-to-face interactions.
