Freight Flow Associate (USA) – Sam’s Club
Base pay range : $19.00/hr – $27.00/hr
Position Summary
This role is responsible for ensuring efficient movement of merchandise within the Sam’s Club facility and providing excellent member service. Key responsibilities include operating forklifts and pallet jacks safely, receiving and stocking inventory, maintaining safety and merchandising standards, and assisting members with product and technology support.
Core Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks following company standards, safely picking up, moving, and positioning merchandise pallets.
Complete work assignments using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, and customers.
Receive, stock, and organize merchandise from distribution centers, managing inventory flow and maintaining accurate paperwork.
Provide member service, acknowledging members, addressing needs, guiding them through self-service technology, and resolving issues.
Conduct safety sweeps, adhere to forklift spotting procedures, and report unsafe conditions or hazards.
Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation, including zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, and ensuring proper display of promotional items.
Assist with club pickup orders, ensuring accurate staging and timely completion.
Track goods, maintain in-stock levels, control shrinkage, and report poor inventory practices.
Maintain equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, and report any malfunctions.
Proactively identify customers who need assistance with technology services and help resolve shrink opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
90 days of prior experience with forklift certification.
Ability to safely operate pallet jacks.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
Customer Service experience.
Retail experience.
Experience supervising a team.
