Job Summary The Maintenance Manager will safely ensure all facility and equipment is functioning properly, overseeing the maintenance department. This person is responsible for ensuring the team receives training (safety, job duties, personal development, etc.), assigns tasks to technicians, and ensures all goals and benchmarks are met. The manager works with Purchasing to maintain part inventory, oversees internal projects, maintains the maintenance budget, and collaborates with site management and production leaders on facility maintenance matters. The role ensures all safety guidelines are followed (OSHA compliance, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, etc.) and demonstrates behaviors aligned with core values.
Job Location This is an onsite role based in Galloway, NJ.
Job Responsibilities
Create a safe and clean work environment/culture for all employees
Ensure all necessary tools and equipment are available and in working order
Set expectations with all employees
Develop a ‘Can Do’ culture focused on customer needs (facility/production)
Enforce all company policies and standards (safety, OSHA compliance, etc.)
Maintain the maintenance budget
Create and audit a Preventive Maintenance program
Create troubleshooting guides
Track maintenance metrics
Oversee projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
Ensure uptime for plant to achieve its goals
Review and complete all required paperwork
Address personnel concerns (non‑HR related)
Process time‑off requests and payroll timesheets timely
Interview and make hiring decisions for maintenance technicians
Work directly with Plant Management to ensure safety standards are met
Job Requirements
Comfortable rolling up sleeves to learn and coach
2+ years managerial experience with progressive responsibility
Journeyman electrician preferred
Experience in a production organization preferred
Understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems required
Skilled in troubleshooting and problem‑solving
Professional and personable, great communicator (written and spoken)
Ability to think outside the box and be hands‑on with the maintenance team
Proficiency in basic business software (Microsoft Office)
Passionate, action‑oriented, detail‑oriented leader
Compensation
Base salary $100,000 – $125,000
Bonus 10% – 15% annually
