Join to apply for this 12‑month position. Pay ranges between $19.70 – $27.24 per hour, with an additional $0.75 per hour lead stipend, based on experience, education, etc. Eligible for benefits.
Purpose Independently performs all grounds and landscaping functions. Provides assistance and support to other Maintenance and Operations staff in performing a variety of tasks based on vacancies and district needs.
Qualifications Minimum of five years of experience in grounds/landscaping and general repairs, including at least two years in carpentry, plumbing, electrical repair/maintenance, HVAC repair, mechanical repair, or painting. An equivalent combination of experience and training is considered. Demonstrated maintenance and landscaping aptitude with the knowledge to use hand tools, machines, and other equipment such as tractors, mowers, forklifts, floor machines, vacuums, etc. is required. Must have a herbicide/pesticide spray license or willingness to obtain. Ability to work independently with little supervision, supervise staff as needed, follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively with students, staff, contractors, and the public, work in a team environment, and provide guidance, instruction, and training to staff. Must understand IOSHA safety rules and standards and hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
