Position
Administrative Supervisor at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise employees and operations in a designated area.
Lead employee training, auditing, and product or service quality control.
Establish productivity standards and address performance issues.
Handle staffing, payroll, and other matters related to the productivity and operations of the assigned area.
Manage confidential information and issues.
May have grant and budgetary responsibilities.
Supervise the work of subordinate personnel without performing their duties.
May perform some administrative assistant duties and manage compliance and regulatory processes.
Act as a liaison to leadership and/or serve as a human resources officer for the department.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics
Preferred: previous supervisor/administrative experience in a medical office type environment.
Ability to lead a team of administrative professionals and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Good written and verbal communication skills, discretion in handling confidential information, positive attitude, and demonstrated flexibility.
Salary Range $45,395 – $73,770
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required.
OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
