Summary

The Senior Analyst – Vehicle Business Development will provide valuable financial and data analytics support to respond to new Customer RFPs and RFQs, evaluate potential new business opportunities, and respond to requests for new services from existing customers. This role will support the analysis of business performance and help senior management make strategic decisions by providing accurate and timely financial analysis to determine GUS costs, project profitability, and produce regularly scheduled reports.

Compensation

6 months; $27.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Use available platforms to source pricing for various services for potential and existing customers, to determine Glovis profitability prior to responding to RFPs/RFQs

Review data, assumptions, and price quotes prepared by other teams to ensure accuracy and provide recommendations

Provide comprehensive follow‑up and prepare variance analysis studies to assess the outcome of the planned versus actual

Work with the team to create, review, and question cost and pricing models for new and current business

Maintain and improve tools used for team projects in collaboration with the Analyst

Collaborate with and provide support to Operations and Finance departments on day‑to‑day tasks as well as special projects

Support the development and execution of new business processes with new and existing customers

Support the development of PowerPoint presentations for the Manager and Head of Department (HOD)

Prepare internal approval documents and supporting analysis

Support team and Operations departments for special projects

Generate regular team reports, including financial analysis and forecasting

Create customer financial analysis for management to conduct quarterly business profitability reviews

Obtain pertinent data from company systems, including SAP, ITMs, and Salesforce, to aid in regular reporting and ad‑hoc projects

Organize large amounts of data, analyze, and present it for executive and team review

Maintain and track rate and tariff schedules, customer approvals, and backup supporting data

Meet RFP proposal deadlines and establish RFP priorities and target dates while gathering information and collaborating with the Business Development team and project managers

Utilize strong financial analyst skills to work as an individual contributor and in collaboration with the team

Communicate effectively with various teams, departments, and management, demonstrating the ability to develop rapport and trust with internal departments and business partners

Skills

Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft platform programs

Strong ability to decipher data for appropriate cost and pricing models used for senior management decision‑making

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Team‑oriented with a growth mindset

Logistics background

Solid presentation skills

Auto industry background (preferred)

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required

Master’s degree preferred

3‑5 years of experience in financial analysis, sales, marketing, and procurement-related functions required

4‑7 years of experience in financial analysis, sales, marketing, and procurement-related functions (preferred)

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or computer for long periods

Repetitive use of hand/grasping, product, writing, and typing

Possibility of handling objects

Stand/walk (as needed)
