St Johns House Medical Centre, Worcester is looking for a committed salaried GP to join our practice team to help shape our future growth. We have strong connections to our PCN, with a great multi-generational patient population .
List size of 13,800
An innovative and supportive team, comprising of two partners, six GPs, three trainee ACPs, two practice pharmacists, three nurses, three HCAs, a practice manager, an operations manager, reception managers, receptionists, administrators and secretaries.
The Practice is consistently benchmarked as high performing in ICB and PCN contracts across a range of indicators, including referrals and prescribing.
Bi-weekly MDT with social and community care.

Main duties of the job
The Role We are offering 6 sessions working on Monday, Thursday & Friday. Interests and personal development strongly encouraged. Support for being/becoming a trainer for interested candidates. Mentorship for portfolio roles, including future leadership roles in the wider community/health care The Team Young, dynamic clinical team who work extremely well together. Excellent pharmacy team (two clinical pharmacists and two PMCs) who deal with all medical related queries and offer a duty pharmacist daily alongside pharmacist support provided by Worcester City PCN. Innovative frailty and care home services with GP leadership. Strong links with social prescribing, including mental health and well-being support. Open door/supportive team. There's always someone to ask or just to share a problem or some humour. Daily paid coffee break and chat. Fully engaged with PCN. Opportunities for more collaborative working and new primary care roles. Emis system, alongside Docman, X-on/Surgery Connect & Accurx. About us

ClinicalResponsibilities: Thepost-holder is expected to take due note of and act in accordance with thestandards of clinical governance that are agreed within the practice. Anyconcerns should be brought to the attention of the partners as soon aspracticable. Inaccordance with the practice timetable, the post-holder will make him/herselfavailable to undertake a variety of duties including: surgery consultations,telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, taking action on electronic prescriptionrequests, and dealing with queries,paperwork and correspondence, (including electronic correspondence), dealingwith patient test results and medical reports, referral letters, paperwork andother correspondence in a timely fashion Makeprofessional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whetherself‑referred or referred from other health care workers Assessthe health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosedproblems Screenpatients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Inconsultation with patients and in line with current practice disease managementprotocols, develop care plans for health Providecounselling and health education Admitor discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other careproviders as appropriate Recordclear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards, primarily byuse of the computer system and complete the clinical system clinical templatesas appropriate Collectand use data for audit purposes Compileand issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoidinghand‑written prescriptions whenever possible) Prescribein accordance with the practice standards and locally agreed or nationalguidelines whenever this is clinically appropriate Ingeneral the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties andresponsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. This includes clinical and non‑clinical trainingand events. GMC Registered GP On Performers List DBS Clearance Member of approved medical defence organisation Experience
Sound knowledge of QOF requirements, NICE guidelines etc. and commitment to deliver quality service to patients Confident in making decisions, managing own workload and delegating appropriately Good record keeping and communication skills Special interest in a specific area of primary care Disclosure and Barring Service Check
