Overview ATS is seeking a highly skilled

Workday Application Developer

to support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of Workday HCM and Financials. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical expert for integrations, business process configuration, reporting, and end-user support, working closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders. This role requires a hybrid schedule, with up to two (2) remote workdays per week.

Key Responsibilities Development & Configuration

Design, build, test, and deploy Workday integrations using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).

Configure and maintain Workday business processes, calculated fields, custom validations, and condition rules.

Develop and optimize Workday custom reports and dashboards.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve Workday application and integration issues.

Integration Management

Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and third‑party applications (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, etc.).

Monitor daily/scheduled integrations and remediate failures, errors, or data inconsistencies.

Document integration architecture, configuration details, and data flows.

Enhance existing integrations to increase reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Reporting & Analytics

Develop Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions to support operational, strategic, and compliance needs.

Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable Workday outputs.

Automate report scheduling, distribution, and security access for end users.

Support & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Provide Workday technical support and issue resolution for agency and end users.

Maintain clear and comprehensive system documentation (design specifications, process workflows, configuration guides).

Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to align Workday functionality with business objectives.

Participate in change control, configuration management, and testing processes.

Gather and document requirements for enhancements, break/fixes, and new functionality.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited institution. Four (4) years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree on a year‑for‑year basis (maximum of four years).

At least two years of experience administering or supporting enterprise systems such as Workday HCM, Payroll, Financials, Reporting, or web‑service‑driven applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.

Demonstrated business process knowledge across HCM, Payroll, or Financial systems.

Proven experience working collaboratively in cross‑functional teams with strong relationship‑building skills.

Hands‑on experience in Workday implementation or post‑production support as a primary technical resource.

Workday certification or equivalent professional training/experience.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive data with discretion and integrity.
