About the Role:

Hotel Management & Consulting is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our team. You will lead the operations in the absence of the General Manager and assist them with leading the team, ensuring that our service standards are consistently exceeded.

Primary Duties

Team Lead: Train and provide guidance to staff, discuss performance discrepancies, and lead staff huddles.

Financial: Post checks in PMS, complete weekly labor tracker, manage payment due reports, postpaid outs, and receipts.

Guest Relations: Ensure the hotel is always "Guest Ready" by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and addressing guest concerns promptly.

Housekeeping: Assign rooms for cleaning and assist the GM in inspecting rooms.

Other: Manage inventory, check property email, build vendor and guest relationships, and foster teamwork.

Sales & Marketing: Promote the property locally, build relationships with competitive properties, and lead in‑house guest sales initiatives.

Teamwork: Assist with housekeeping duties, cover shifts as needed, and maintain operational continuity.

Emergency Procedures: Follow property emergency procedures and ensure security for guests and staff.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year’s experience in hotel leadership, including front desk and back‑of‑house operations.

Proficient computer skills.

Strong team‑building skills.

Excellent organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Proactive problem solvers.

Physical Requirements

Tasks involving kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting, bending, and twisting for long periods.

Ability to lift, push, pull up to 20 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
