Leverage ergonomics and customer experience expertise to develop system requirements and functionalities that deliver a market-leading driver experience. Apply physical and cognitive ergonomics principles to commercial vehicle research, design, and evaluation. Collaborate with product platforms, customers, industrial design, and engineering teams to design best-in-class products. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science with at least 15 years of experience in product design, development, or related fields, including 2 years in a leadership role. Or Master’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in leadership. Or PhD with at least 9 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in leadership. Additional Requirements
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee). Desired Skills
Expertise in HMI and ergonomics vehicle and system requirements. Experience with full-cycle ergonomics/HMI development, including benchmarking, requirement creation, solution identification, task analysis, and validation. Ability to evaluate vehicle designs for ergonomic compliance and assist in critical design trade-offs. Translating user attributes into system requirements, understanding occupant packaging, ingress/egress, visibility, driver comfort, and HMI. Knowledge of regulatory standards impacting vehicle design. Experience with research and predevelopment needs. Active or previous Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Proficiency with PowerBI or other data analysis tools. Competencies
