Position Overview The Job Captain/Senior Job Captain will play a critical role in managing the design and development of K-12 educational facilities. This position focuses on ensuring that all construction documents are completed accurately and efficiently while adhering to DSA guidelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and coordination of construction documents for K-12 projects.
Ensure compliance with DSA regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project timelines and objectives.
Oversee project documentation, including drawings and specifications, using Revit and AutoCAD.
Review and provide feedback on design drawings and construction details to enhance project quality.
Assist in the mentoring and training of junior staff members and interns.
Coordinate with contractors and consultants to address any construction-related issues that arise.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
5+ years of experience in architectural design and construction documentation, preferably in K-12 projects.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software.
Strong understanding of DSA regulations and construction documentation processes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
AIA certification is a plus but not required.
