Solutions Architect, AWS WWPS Partners SA AWS is looking for a cleared Solutions Architect to support our Global Systems Integrator partners and shape opportunities for our government customers. This role can be located in DC, NY.

Responsibilities On our Global Systems Integrator team, you will provide exceptional technical design, architecture, and thought leadership while working with a world class sales and business development team. You will lead efforts to capture and share best‑practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community and gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.

As a Solutions Architect, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (e.g., Amazon Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, and Amazon CloudFront) directly with our ecosystem of systems integrators, consulting and technology partners. Your broad responsibilities will include owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures, assisting partners respond to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies, as well as broad know‑how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

Creating, building, educating, training and designing cloud computing architectures, especially if it’s for Defense Department customers.

Deep‑dive technical discussions around design and the curiosity to keep your technical skills current while maintaining a pulse on industry trends.

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.

3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.

10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.

Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with end user or developer communities.

Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.

Experience working with U.S. Federal customers.
