AWS is looking for a cleared Solutions Architect to support our Global Systems Integrator partners and shape opportunities for our government customers. This role can be located in DC, NY.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional technical design, architecture, and thought leadership while working with a world‑class sales and business development team.

Lead efforts to capture and share best‑practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community.

Help shape and deliver a strategy to build broad use of Amazon’s utility computing services (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2, CloudFront) directly with systems integrators, consulting and technology partners.

Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.

Define implementation architectures, assist partners in responding to RFPs, develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and how applications and services are constructed on the AWS platform.

Act as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).

3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.

10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.

Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with end user or developer communities.

Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.

Experience working with U.S. Federal customers.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200 to $239,000 per year, depending on location. Additional compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments, and benefits.
