AWS is looking for a cleared Solutions Architect to support our Global Systems Integrator partners and shape opportunities for our government customers. This role can be located in DC or NY.
On our Global Systems Integrator team, you will provide exceptional technical design, architecture, and thought leadership while working with a world‑class sales and business development team. You will lead efforts to capture and share best‑practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community and gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.
As a Solutions Architect, your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures; assisting partners respond to RFPs; developing a deep expertise in AWS technologies; and serving as a subject‑matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with end user or developer communities
Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
Experience working with U.S. Federal customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
