Private Equity Associate Role Overview
We are currently partnered with one of the fastest‑growing lower middle market private equity firms. The team successfully raised and deployed Fund 1 and recently closed on Fund 2. Operating in the industrials, business services, and value‑added distribution space, the team is looking to continue a strong level of deal activity in 2026. Based in the heart of Nashville, TN, we are seeking a Private Equity Associate to join the team and make an immediate impact.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the full investment lifecycle—sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio support. Above all else, the Associate will work with and learn from a senior leadership team that has completed over 40 platform investments.
Private Equity Associate Key Responsibilities
Conduct market and industry research to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.
Build and maintain financial models to support investment decisions.
Lead and support due diligence efforts, including operational, financial, and legal assessments.
Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal committees.
Collaborate with portfolio company management teams on strategic initiatives and performance tracking.
Work closely with senior investment professionals throughout the deal process.
Private Equity Associate Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in investment banking and/or private equity.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Demonstrated interest in lower middle market investing and operational value creation.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Strong ties to the Southeast—specifically Nashville.
