Job Summary Synergy is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer proficient in analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions to be responsible for ongoing mission‑critical OCONUS field support. This work is on a new Prime Contract, and we are actively staffing for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

Analyze and maintain complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, and network design.

Procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment.

Provide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial.

Deploy, install, and implement hardware at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS).

Prepare specifications and engineering plans based on documented and derived system requirements.

Conduct site surveys, prepare Technical Design Packages, and organize and direct hardware installations.

Configure and document configuration of computers, networking devices, and peripheral equipment.

Prepare installation and test reports, ensuring problems are identified and solutions meet user requirements.

Provide reports and recommendations concerning existing and emerging hardware technologies.

Support system design by including end‑user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.

Requirements

Seven (7) years of experience as a Hardware Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Five (5) years of additional Hardware Engineer experience on projects with similar scope, type, and complexity may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Capabilities

Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions.

Analyze hardware specifications and system requirements to conceptualize and document practical hardware designs.

Identify operational hardware problems and propose solutions meeting user needs.

Assist in preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Conduct site surveys and document current network configuration and site‑unique requirements.

Develop hardware installation schedules and train site personnel.

Recommend hardware specifications and design Technical Design Packages.

Produce as‑built drawings and installation/test reports.

Configure computers, communication devices, and peripheral equipment.

Organize and direct multi‑site hardware installations.

Design and verify test harnesses for all test and integration phases.

Analyze and recommend hardware specifications for project‑unique or modified commercial hardware.

Assist in building simulations of proposed systems and provide hardware throughput analyses.

Prepare Mean‑Time‑Between‑Failure and Mean‑Time‑To‑Repair analyses.

Analyze operational data to identify choke points, failure modes, and other data for design or maintainability improvements.

Desired Capabilities

Experience with antenna and antenna subsystems.

Clearance Required TS/SCI with Polygraph. Must be fully cleared with the appropriate Polygraph.

Other Requirements U.S. Citizenship.
