Collections Paralegal
We are seeking an experienced Collections Paralegal to manage payment plan and stipulation cases from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in first‑party collections, litigation support, and debtor negotiations, with a proven ability to balance high‑volume activity while maintaining compliance and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Manage payment collection cases, including drafting demand letters, settlement agreements, and payment schedules.
Handle inbound and outbound debtor communications, resolving inquiries and disputes efficiently.
Conduct skip tracing and investigative research to locate debtors and assets.
Execute outbound calling campaigns to negotiate settlements and develop payment plans.
Partner with attorneys to create and implement strategic recovery plans.
Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure compliance with FDCPA/TCPA regulations.
Provide litigation support including legal research, document review, and drafting legal documents.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in collections or creditors’ rights.
Strong track record in debt recovery, negotiation, and first‑party collections.
Proficient in legal software, case management systems, and court portals.
Knowledge of FDCPA, TCPA, and applicable regulations.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); office management software a plus.
