Job Description The Radiologic Technologist performs a range of general diagnostic radiologic procedures.
Responsibilities
Performs a variety of major and minor diagnostic radiological procedures ensuring optimal imaging, verifying patient identity with appropriate identifiers, and following physician orders and hospital policies.
Assesses patient needs based on age‑specific criteria, positions patients accurately, coordinates care during procedures and transportation, and maintains a sterile environment with proper PPE for each patient.
Applies radiation safety practices such as the ALARA model, provides adequate shielding, and ensures infection control and HIPAA compliance.
Demonstrates empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity toward patients and support systems, maintaining professionalism with patients, families, physicians, and co‑workers.
Assumes responsibility for ancillary tasks such as documentation of charges, ordering supplies, conducting environmental safety rounds, and maintaining departmental records.
Monitors patients, diagnostic procedures, and equipment, adjusting as needed, reporting malfunctions promptly, and ensuring images are processed, archived, and recorded accurately in medical and billing records.
Qualifications
Current licensure as Radiologic Technologist in the State of California.
Fluoroscopy license/certification.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Maintenance of a work pace appropriate to the workload.
AHA Basic Life Support certification.
Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Louis‑Angeles City Employees only).
One year recent experience in an acute care facility.
Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
Pay Rate Min - $42.07 | Max - $56.52

We are a full‑service, acute care hospital with a 24/7 emergency department and nationally recognized patient safety. Now at 420 beds, SCH‑CC is a general acute care hospital that utilizes many of the latest medical treatments and technologies. The hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient acute care services, including an orthopedic center, cardiovascular services, acute rehabilitation, sub‑acute care, psychiatric care, and chemical dependency programs. The hospital operates a 24‑hour emergency services center staffed by board‑certified emergency physicians and nurse specialists.
