Quality / Reliability Engineer General
Location: Dearborn, MI (Contract)
Job Summary Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for a Quality / Reliability Engineer General for a contract position.
Responsibilities
Implement commodity‑specific business plans to ensure suppliers exceed corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery.
Lead cross‑functional decisions with client and supplier leadership to resolve open issues.
Ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers.
Serve as the principal for on‑site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations.
Lead adherence to client standards (e.g., Q1).
Drive assessment and validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites.
Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP).
Use available data, metrics, and business plans to inform future sourcing decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science/Engineering, or equivalent technical/manufacturing aptitude.
Experience with quality management.
Knowledge of PPAP processes.
Strong problem‑solving skills.
Experience with APQP.
