Epitec is seeking a
Advanced Manufacturing & Quality Engineer
to work onsite for the largest global Automaker in the U.S. In this role, you’ll be the primary technical interface between the OEM/client and its suppliers—supporting product launches, driving issue resolution, and ensuring zero disruption to vehicle production. You will implement commodity‑specific business plans and ensure supplier compliance with the client’s quality, delivery, capacity, and warranty standards.
Key Responsibilities
Implement commodity‑specific business plans to exceed client expectations for launch readiness, quality, capacity, warranty, and on‑time delivery.
Lead cross‑functional collaboration with internal client teams and supplier leadership to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
Serve as the on‑site technical lead for troubleshooting, emergency containment, and corrective action implementation during critical supplier events.
Ensure zero vehicle losses or production disruptions due to supplier‑related issues.
Monitor and enforce compliance with client quality and operational standards.
Drive early manufacturing feasibility assessments at supplier sites to ensure launch and production readiness.
Lead and support execution of APQP and PPAP deliverables in alignment with program timelines.
Analyze supplier performance using data‑driven metrics to inform strategic sourcing and future quality improvements.
Participate in supplier development initiatives to build long‑term capability aligned with operational excellence goals.
Required Qualifications
8+ years in advanced manufacturing, advanced quality, process planning, implementation, or launch of Interior Commodity manufacturing systems (Seats, IPs, consoles, headliners, door panels, restraints, seat structures).
Experience with one or more interior commodities or similar processes (e.g., seating, instrument panels, injection molded parts, seatbelts/restraints, forging).
Proven expertise in PPAP, APQP, and quality systems.
Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills.
Ability to travel frequently (up to 70%).
Preferred Qualifications
Automotive industry experience.
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
Excellent communication and cross‑functional leadership skills.
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
