Responsibilities
As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Sr at Honeywell, you will lead efforts to optimize advanced manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence.
You will develop and implement innovative manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enhance product quality. You will report directly to one of our Engineering Managers and work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a 100% onsite work schedule.
In this role, you will influence the planning and designing of manufacturing processes, determine equipment and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification for both existing and new processes, and maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization. You will support daily production activities and drive producibility projects to increase capacity through yield and cycle‑time improvements.

Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers to enhance their skills and careers at Honeywell.
Identify and oversee process improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production.
Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements.
Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six‑Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle‑time reductions.
Assist development of new products.
Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
Facilitate a self‑driven workforce culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
Test products & software.
Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues promptly.
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
Expert knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
Experience with tools and technologies such as CAD software, statistical process control, and Six‑Sigma methodologies.
WE VALUE
Advanced Engineering degrees such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Product or process engineering experience.
Experience with Optics.
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects.
Hands‑on work ethic. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions.
Strong leadership skills and ability to drive results.
Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Salary Range The annual base salary range for this position is $101,000 - $126,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
