(DMC Sinai‑Grace Hospital) – Full‑Time Night Shift (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM). Eligibility for benefits varies by location and employment status.
Job Summary Under general supervision, perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens per standard laboratory procedures. Analyze test results, prepare samples, calculate findings, and maintain records. Prepare and verify the validity of solutions, reagents, media, and staining materials used in the testing process. Process and test all types of laboratory specimens; review and report results; perform operational duties, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation; serve as a resource to other laboratory personnel.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an approved college or university or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology (or equivalent such as military training as defined by 42 CFR 493.1489).
Prefer 6 months to 1 year experience as a medical laboratory technologist or clinical laboratory scientist in an acute‑care facility.
Registered or registration‑eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or CSMLS) within 12 months of hire. Equivalency evaluation by ECE, NACES, or AICE for non‑US trained personnel must be completed within 30 days of hire. Licensure required by state.

Analytical ability to interpret and analyze test results
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with all areas of a physician office
Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate various types of laboratory equipment
Visual acuity to closely examine specimens
