Red Coats Inc. is a privately‑held company founded over 60 years ago and based in Bethesda, Maryland. We specialize in providing commercial office cleaning services across Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, California, and Texas. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Accountant to support our accounting team with month‑end and year‑end procedures and processes.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for payroll, operating, and investment accounts.
Prepare and reconcile accounts receivable reconciliations.
Assist with other balance‑sheet accounts.
Prepare and post journal entries.
Prepare, distribute, and upload credit card reconciliations.
Review and approve expenses.
Assist with other accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree with an Accounting and/or Finance focus preferred.
1+ year of experience in corporate accounting, including GL and payroll.
MUST HAVE general‑ledger experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing reports and presenting information to clients.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel).
Ability to meet assigned deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
Additional Requirements
In‑person position – Monday to Friday. Must be able to commute reliably or plan to relocate before starting work.
