An education organization is seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist. In this seat, you will be the only person processing payroll for 6 different union contracts. Additionally, you will report to the Director of Finance and be using HARPERS software. The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of payroll processing experience, has handled union payroll, and preferably comes out of the municipality/education space (not required).
Responsibilities
Process and audit payroll information in a timely manner Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions Collaborate with HR to ensure proper handling of employee benefits deductions Utilize various payroll software systems such as PeopleSoft, Paychex, HRIS, Ceridian, Kronos, and UltiPro Conduct general ledger account reconciliations related to payroll Assist with accounts payable functions as needed Requirements
Proficiency in using payroll software such as PeopleSoft, Paychex, HRIS, Ceridian, Kronos, and UltiPro Knowledge of financial concepts related to payroll processing Experience with general ledger reconciliation Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
