Job Description And Duties
The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process. The Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) is an intuitive, user-friendly system that provides the applicant access to real-time updates throughout the hiring process. HRTS will require new candidates to set up an account, which allows them to track their application’s progress. Through their account portal, candidates will also be able to provide any additional information needed in the hiring process, including setting up interviews as needed. After the final filing date, applicants will receive an email from DoNotReply@cdcr.ns2cloud.com or DoNotReply@CDCR (depending on the email provider), with direction on creating and/or accessing their account. Working Conditions
The position is located in Sonoma County. Maximum of 960 hours per Fiscal Year (July 1 - June 30)
Department Operations Manual (DOM), Section 32020.7.1 Reinstatement and Returning Parole Agent Training
Employees returning to the parole agent classification series from re-employment status, workers’ compensation status, extended sick leave, reinstatement from retirement status, or other extended absence from performing the duties of the parole agent classification series will be required to attend the following training:
Any employee who has not performed the duties of the parole agent classification for less than 12 months will require refresher training as determined by the Regional Parole Administrator. Any employee who has not performed the duties of the parole agent classification between 12 and less than 36 months will require completion of a full BPAA, a modified BPAA, or refresher training as determined by the DAPO Director. Any employee who has not performed the duties of the parole agent classification for 36 months or longer requires completion of a full BPAA and passage of an examination in accordance with PC sections 832 and 22820. If an employee fails to successfully complete all components of the BPAA, the employee will be non-punitively dismissed for failing to meet the minimum qualifications of the parole agent classification.
