The

Sales Account Executive – Commercial HVAC

is responsible for driving revenue growth across our commercial service, retrofit, and construction divisions. This role blends consultative selling with strong technical acumen to identify client needs, develop tailored HVAC solutions, and manage the full sales cycle from qualification to close.

The ideal candidate has experience in commercial HVAC systems, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, and service teams to ensure accuracy and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within commercial, industrial, healthcare, institutional, and property management markets.

Conduct site visits, system assessments, and surveys to diagnose client needs and develop appropriate HVAC solutions.

Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates for service agreements, retrofit projects, and equipment replacements.

Collaborate with internal teams—including engineering, estimating, project management, and service operations—to validate technical feasibility and pricing.

Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat and long‑term business.

Deliver presentations to executives, facility managers, and decision‑makers highlighting Thermal’s capabilities and recommended solutions.

Negotiate project scope, pricing, terms, and schedules to close profitable deals.

Maintain accurate pipeline updates, activity tracking, and forecasting reports.

Stay knowledgeable on HVAC technology trends, controls integration, energy efficiency strategies, and local building codes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, Construction Management, or a related field preferred (not required).

Minimum

5 years

of experience in commercial HVAC sales, estimating, or engineering.

Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, design principles, and controls.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.

Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and presentation skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Proven track record of developing sales strategies and closing deals in a competitive market.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed for client visits and job walks.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating tools and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
