Part-Time Electrical Engineer - Principal Level
Join Enercon Services, Inc. as a Part‑Time Principal Electrical Engineer. We are seeking experienced Electrical Engineers at the Principal level to contribute their expertise on a flexible part‑time basis. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals who want to make a meaningful impact on critical projects while maintaining work‑life balance. You’ll average 30 hours or less per week, with the opportunity to shape solutions that drive innovation and reliability across the energy sector.

Responsibilities
Collaborate across disciplines: Act as the bridge between engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and coordination across all project disciplines.
Shape project success: Develop innovative design studies, define project scopes, and create accurate engineering estimates to drive project excellence.
Master procurement & installation: Draft detailed specifications for electrical equipment, evaluate technical bids, and select top‑tier solutions to meet project needs.
Perform precision calculations: Execute essential electrical calculations that form the foundation of successful designs and installations.
Think creatively: Bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to solve complex technical challenges and push projects forward.
Be hands‑on in the field: Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, and support start‑up activities to ensure quality and compliance.
Lead & inspire teams: Foster a positive, goal‑oriented environment with your motivational leadership style, empowering teams to achieve success.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience in engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial (chemical or pulp & paper), or government (DOE) projects.
Experience with electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems.
Proficiency in preparation of electrical calculations.
Ability to make recommendations based on knowledge and experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work as an individual contributor and effectively in teams.
Mentorship experience or interest in mentoring early to mid‑career engineers preferred.
Must perform plant walkdowns.
Must be able to get badged at a nuclear facility.
Pay Range USD $90,000.00 – $177,450.00 / year.
