Delaware County Christian School is seeking an energetic, committed, and mission‑driven Head Varsity Football Coach to lead our football program beginning in Fall 2026. The ideal candidate will model professionalism, communicate effectively, and disciple athletes both on and off the field, fostering a culture of sportsmanship, safety, and excellence that honors the Lord.
Qualifications
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Alignment with the school’s Statement of Faith.
Ability to articulate and model a Christian philosophy of athletics.
Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, skills, and game strategy, with the ability to teach and communicate effectively at the varsity level.
Ability to plan, structure, and lead effective practices.
Ability to organize and coach the team during games and competitive events.
Previous high school, college, or professional football coaching experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Lead and conduct daily practices between 3:00–7:00 p.m.
Develop team rosters, create game plans, and ensure effective implementation.
Travel with the team and drive a school van to practices or games as needed.
Foster a positive, Christ‑centered team culture and maintain open communication with athletes, families, and the athletic department.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Season: Fall 2026
