Assistant/Associate Professor of Management (Operations)
Coastal Carolina University invites applicants for a full‑time tenure‑track position in the Department of Management and Decision Sciences at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, beginning Fall 2026.
The new faculty member will have responsibilities in teaching, research, and service. The expected teaching load is three courses per semester. Course delivery modalities may include face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be required to engage in scholarship that results in quality publications. Service activities on behalf of the college, university, community, and profession consistent with those expected of an Assistant/Associate professor are required.
Responsibilities
Teach three courses per semester in operations management, with a secondary teaching area in business statistics or decision analysis.
Develop and prepare syllabi, course materials, and online content for each course.
Assess student learning and assign grades according to the Faculty Manual and University catalog.
Conduct research that adds to knowledge in operations management, publishing in refereed journals.
Participate in college and university committees and community service activities.
Maintain teaching, research, and service commitments in line with the faculty track requirements.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or D.B.A. from an AACSB‑accredited institution in operations management, supply chain management, management science, or a related discipline.
ABD candidates with a clear plan for completion by August 2026 are also encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated record of scholarship in refereed journals.
Strong potential for excellence in teaching.
Ability to serve the college, university, community, and profession.
