Senior Associate, Digital Tax Services (DevOps Engineer)
We are looking for a highly‑skilled DevOps Engineer to join Alvarez & Marsal’s Tax practice. The role focuses on building and maintaining Azure‑based CI/CD pipelines, cloud resources, and automation, enabling our tax professionals and clients to leverage modern technology and navigate the digital age of tax transparency and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines.
Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources including virtual machines, storage, networking, and other services.
Write and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code templates using Azure Bicep.
Administer Azure subscriptions, cost management, access control, and resource organization.
Collaborate with development teams to support application builds, deployments, and releases in Azure.
Monitor application performance and system health using Azure monitoring tools and proactively address issues.
Utilize Git and GitHub for version control, code collaboration, and repository management.
Automate routine tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
Implement best practices for security, compliance, and governance in the Azure environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployments, infrastructure, and cloud services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and Azure cloud services.
Hands‑on experience with Azure Bicep for infrastructure automation.
Proficiency in Git and GitHub for source control and collaboration.
Demonstrated ability to manage Azure subscriptions and resources.
Strong understanding of application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in Azure.
Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of other CI/CD or cloud platforms.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Log Analytics.
Benefits & Compensation The salary range for this position is $85,000 – $105,000 annually, depending on education, experience, skills, and geography.
