What will I be doing? Manage day-to-day operation of the Livable Centers program. Provide oversight and guidance to ensure consistency and quality across studies.
Lead staff on H-GAC’s Livable Centers Program studies and related planning projects that encourage a complementary mix of land uses that are designed to be walkable, connected, and accessible by multiple modes of transportation
Develop and oversee project scopes of work and budgets
Provide overall management of consultant contracts for Livable Centers studies
Build and manage relationships with local Livable Centers current and future partners throughout the H-GAC region
Identify policies, regulations and best management practices that can advance Livable Centers principles and implementation
Lead the development of information resources and presentation materials for H-GAC’s Livable Centers Program
Identify and pursue alternative sources of grants and funding for H-GAC to expand the reach of the Livable Centers Program
Develop and/or review report content and project recommendations
Contribute to work/projects of other teams at H-GAC, as applicable
Key Qualifications
Experience working as a planner, including transportation and land use planning
Strategic planning and/or long-range planning experience
Ability to build and maintain consensus among stakeholders
Experience leading facilitation and execution of public engagement activities
Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills
Do you have…
Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
5 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, or in job related duties
