Job Title Associate Property Manager, Multifamily
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Assisting the Regional Property Manager with overall building operations.
Ensuring the smooth running of the community in a fast‑paced environment.
Overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
Providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
Completing lease/renewal paperwork to company standards.
Tracking and evaluating advertising and client traffic.
Leading by example, instilling, maintaining, and modeling the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.
Supervising day‑to‑day operations of the entire on‑site team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
Hiring, coaching, and maintaining effective on‑site staff.
Maintaining residents' files per company standards.
Maintaining a positive living environment for residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow‑up.
Managing overall community budget and finances.
Working with leasing staff to meet leasing/marketing goals.
Competencies
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.
General office, bookkeeping and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication.
Determining leasing opportunities of staff and goal setting to improve performance.
Supervising day‑to‑day operations of team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
Managing a team.
Perform any related duties as required or assigned.
Important Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required.
Important Experience
3+ years of Property Management experience.
1+ years of Management experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment with standard equipment and requires regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS May need to stand and walk for extended periods, ascend/descend stairs, ladders, step stools, and travel between buildings. Requires remaining stationary 85% of time, operating office machinery.
Other Duties Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time.
