Offer Description
Applications must be submitted by January 30th, 2026, only using the application form. The application should contain a CV, a research statement, a list of publications and a proposal of the branch and people whom the candidate would like to collaborate with. By the same date two letters of recommendation should be sent by email to konkurs@impan.pl in the subject of the e-mail, indicate please “Open call for temporary scientific positions” and the full name of the candidate. We encourage to apply all qualified candidates, regardless of sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation. The offer includes positions of assistant professor, the IM PAS professor and full professor for periods from 6 months to two years, starting from the beginning of the academic year 2026/2027, for mathematicians with PhD degree or equivalent and substantial research achievements in the field of mathematics. For applicants who received their PhD no longer than 5 years ago a PhD degree from an institution other than IM PAN will be an advantage.
The successful candidates will be required to conduct intensive research activities in teams at the IM PAS, including teams implementing national and international research programs, as well as didactic and organizational activities (organization of conferences and seminars, supervision of doctoral students, conducting a monographic lecture/seminar).
