About the Role We’re hiring a full‑time
Electrical Construction Engineer / Field Engineer
who can take charge of active job sites, lead technicians, coordinate daily field operations, and keep projects on schedule and within budget. This role is fully field–based. You’ll travel to project sites daily across the Northeast, supervise installation activities, solve issues in real time, and ensure that electrical and lighting retrofit work meets Oberon’s quality standards. Company‑provided accommodation is offered at all project locations.
We welcome recent F1 OPT graduates for this role. High‑performing team members are eligible for future H1B sponsorship.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on active site involvement, enjoys leading crews, and prefers field execution over office work.
What you’ll be responsible for
Daily travel to job sites across MA, NH, and ME
Supervise LED and electrical retrofit crews during day‑to‑day field work
Review drawings, wiring layouts, fixture schedules, and scopes before crews begin
Monitoring workmanship, performing quality checks, and keeping crews productive
Planning daily tasks, assigning manpower, and tracking progress against schedule
Managing on‑site inventory, materials, tools, and equipment
Coordinating deliveries, rentals, and field logistics
Maintain clean communication with technicians, clients, inspectors, and internal teams
Maintaining safety standards, enforcing procedures, and ensuring compliance
Preparing daily reports, timesheets, punch lists, and closeout documents
Helping resolve field issues quickly so projects stay on track
Support project closeout and punch list completion
What you bring
5‑8 years of hands‑on field experience in construction, electrical work, or site supervision
Solid understanding of electrical systems, retrofit work, and general engineering fundamentals
Strong leadership presence on site with the ability to direct and correct technicians when needed
Comfort driving long distances; experience with pickup trucks or light trailers is a plus
Detail‑oriented approach to managing materials, tools, and inventory
Ability to read drawings and field documents accurately
Someone who can stay organized, solve problems quickly, and keep projects moving
Open to recent F1 OPT candidates; H1B sponsorship available for high performers
