Our team is partnering with a large manufacturing company who is looking for a seasoned
Director of Human Resources
to lead and elevate our HR function during a period of rapid growth and organizational transformation. This role is ideal for someone who has operated inside
large, complex companies
yet thrives in hands‑on, fast‑moving environments where processes are still evolving. This role will be onsite at their office in the Redding‑Red Bluff area.
What You’ll Do
Lead the full HR function, overseeing people operations, organizational development, compliance, performance, and employee relations.
Build and refine HR systems across performance management, compensation, org design, and talent development—creating structure while enabling speed and innovation.
Drive HR compliance, implementing scalable processes across payroll, safety, employee documentation, and state/federal regulatory requirements.
Partner closely with executive leadership to translate business goals into people strategies that support growth, alignment, and accountability.
Be hands‑on—comfortable rolling up your sleeves to execute tactical work while also setting long‑term strategy.
Navigate complexity and constant change, helping the organization mature without slowing momentum.
Use data to inform decisions, track workforce metrics, and identify opportunities to strengthen culture, retention, and performance.
Coach managers and leaders, building people leadership capabilities across the organization.
Lead employee relations efforts, resolving issues with fairness, clarity, and a high degree of judgment.
Who You Are
10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including time in a large, structured organization.
Proven experience operating in high‑growth, evolving, or startup‑like settings—comfortable building processes from scratch.
A pragmatic, high‑backbone HR leader who can set direction, push back when needed, and instill discipline without unnecessary bureaucracy.
A strong operator who thrives in environments with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and incomplete information.
Adept at balancing speed with risk management, building compliant systems that scale.
Excellent communicator who can earn trust and influence at the executive level.
Data‑driven, execution‑oriented, and biased toward taking action over perfection.
A true hands‑on leader, equally comfortable shaping strategy and diving into day‑to‑day HR operations.
Why Join Us This is a high‑impact opportunity to shape the HR function of a growing organization and build people infrastructure that fuels long‑term success.
