Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer will design building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
Design electrical systems including lighting, power, and life safety) for new facilities and facility modernization projects
Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls
Lead project teams and serve as the primary contact for the discipline with clients
Perform QA/QC of design work and prepare detailed design documents
Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers
Coordinate work with other disciplines
Assist in the procurement of new work; including the development of client relations and participation in project interviews
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of 12 years design experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
A registered PE in Maryland, DC and/or Virginia
LEED certification/experience is a plus
Experience with laboratories/medical facilities design is preferred
Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines, including proficiency with the National Electrical Code
Excellent work ethic and attitude
Good communication and time management skills
Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to provide technical mentorship to engineers with less experience
Ability to solve problems in an effective and timely manner

Compensation & Benefits The expected base salary range for this role is $155,000 – $175,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:
