What You’ll Do Social Media Strategy – 35%

Lead strategic social plan development with the Digital & Business Solutions teams.

Integrate social insights into the overall planning process, incorporating data, research, and analytics to understand the role of marketplace media.

Partner closely with other Horizon Next teams, building cross‑team relationships and incorporating relevant extensions.

Brainstorm plan and consideration set development to generate innovative ideas.

Oversee the creation of media‑specific documents such as plans, objectives, strategy decks, and related functions.

Work with the Director to manage junior team members and expectations in creating media documents.

Stay abreast of industry trends and develop POVs related to overall social marketplace buying.

Provide final sign‑off on RFP creation, review partner responses, and act as escalation point for partner negotiations.

Guide the Director in coaching junior team members on impactful, data‑driven insight writing.

Drive innovation in analytics and digital strategies with the Business Solutions team.

Lead process development with Horizon Next Analytics & Business Intelligence teams to aggregate data and ensure standardization across accounts.

Oversee the development of learning agendas, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements to ensure campaign impact.

Act as escalation point for junior team members on optimization strategies, proactively communicating challenges and opportunities across social.

Relationship Management – 25%

Advance client relationships by maintaining positive rapport and championing trust.

Communicate and build relationships with senior level clients, aligning strategy with digital innovation.

Maintain foresight and understanding of projects to adjust timing of deliverables, communicating changes to managers and leadership.

Apply knowledge of current/previous clients’ businesses and industries to enhance relationships.

Maintain a strong presence across Horizon Next departments to build trust and accountability.

Foster trust & partnership across the organization, resolving conflicts.

Act as primary resource for the Director and junior team members when navigating conversations with internal and external partners.

Primary social lead working closely with clients to prioritize projects and align media with objectives.

Team Management, Supervision and Delegation – 25%

Build a community of inclusiveness and allyship, allowing team members to be their best selves.

Provide ongoing, real‑time performance feedback to ensure continuous growth.

Coach Director and other team members on mentorship, management, and feedback skills.

Guide team in setting goals and professional development timelines, ensuring projects match skill level.

Ensure training and support for achieving development goals.

Serve as a resource for performance reviews and coaching to maximize success.

Lead conversations around staffing needs.

Promote work of junior and senior team members in a positive environment.

Encourage junior team members to engage in Horizon Next initiatives and the broader Social community.

Agency Stewardship – 10%

Uphold community and knowledge sharing within the Horizon Next social business.

Disseminate high‑level POVs on industry trends to clients and team members.

Ensure the account reflects the Horizon brand ethos of personal business.

Participate in partner and agency relationships across the client portfolio.

Responsible for financial tracking of partner investments within the Horizon umbrella.

Training & Development – 5%

Engage in continued learning opportunities internally and externally.

Maintain active knowledge of industry trends and educate clients and teams.

Attend relevant industry conferences and events.

Foster an environment of learning and development, motivating junior team members to pursue courses.

Preferred Skills & Experience

8–10+ years of experience developing strategic media recommendations and stewarding social media account projects.

Deep understanding of advanced analytics and performance media.

Ability to translate data into insights and craft stories for clients.

Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts.

Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills relevant to the social media planning process.

Expertise in negotiating and constructing social media plans, including planning, buying and activation.

Experience buying ads on Facebook and Instagram (additional platforms preferred).

Exposure to advanced targeting/retargeting tactics in social, using 1st and 3rd party data.

Experience owning the full social strategy process with partners, clients and internal stakeholders.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; confidence in presenting and coaching team members.

Comfort managing budget/investment levels across multiple accounts.

Strong experience navigating cross‑department relationships.

Leadership and supervisory experience developing media professionals.

Salary Range $195,000.00 – $235,000.00
