CEIS is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to support a high-performance data center program in Sparks, Nevada. This role is responsible for managing mechanical and electrical (M&E) scopes of work from design coordination through procurement, field installation, QA/QC, startup, and commissioning. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, field experience in mission‑critical environments, and the ability to lead subcontractors, design partners, and vendors in a complex, fast‑paced setting.
The MEP Project Manager will work closely with design engineering teams, construction managers, OFCI vendors, commissioning agents, and the client to ensure project execution aligns with priorities such as efficiency, speed to market, redundancy, and uptime reliability.
Responsibilities
Work closely with design and engineering teams to ensure MEP systems meet performance, reliability, redundancy, and speed‑to‑market requirements.
Participate in planning and maintaining milestone schedules; ensure M&E activities align with the overall master project schedule.
Determine Required‑On‑Job (ROJ) dates for major equipment and long‑lead materials.
Review shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation for scope compliance.
Issue and manage subcontractor and vendor agreements; review and approve payment requests.
Procure materials and equipment, tracking delivery status and verifying conformance with project specifications.
Conduct weekly onsite reviews of installation progress, quality, and safety, and lead coordination meetings with M&E subcontractors to resolve risks and open issues.
Maintain and manage rolling punch lists, enforcing QA/QC expectations and ensuring timely corrective actions.
Coordinate with OFCI vendors, including tracking equipment readiness, attending factory witness tests, scheduling delivery, and supporting startup activities.
Lead first‑in‑place reviews for equipment and subsystem installation, documenting results and securing stakeholder sign‑off.
Support startup and commissioning activities by organizing subcontractor participation and collaborating with the commissioning team.
Anticipate safety hazards, support incident reviews, and ensure required safety documentation is maintained for all M&E activities.
Serve as a primary interface with the client, addressing questions related to design intent, quality, cost impacts, and schedule considerations.
Prepare routine project reports including procurement logs, milestone updates, QA/QC documentation, cost tracking, and closeout materials.
Assist with additional scope as needed to support project and organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of relevant MEP design, construction management, or commissioning experience in industrial or mission‑critical environments.
At least 5 years overseeing mechanical and/or electrical scopes on multi‑disciplinary construction projects.
Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, Procore, BIM360, and other construction‑related platforms.
Ability to read and interpret plans, equipment schedules, and single‑line diagrams.
Strong working knowledge of major mechanical and electrical topologies used in critical facilities.
Ability to communicate technical construction requirements to clients and stakeholders.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
