A Bit About Us We’re seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations and financial reporting for a manufacturing organization with government contract exposure. This role will oversee all aspects of general accounting, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements, and drive process efficiency and financial accuracy across the organization.
Ideal candidates bring 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including a strong public accounting foundation (Big 4 preferred), proven leadership in corporate accounting, and hands‑on experience in manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all accounting functions, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), A/P, payroll, and tax compliance.
Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls; support external audits and compliance reviews.
Oversee development and application of accounting policies and procedures aligned with best practices.
Partner with FP&A and leadership to deliver financial insights that guide business strategy and performance.
Manage and mentor accounting staff, promoting accuracy, accountability, and growth.
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
Drive process improvements and system enhancements, including ERP optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required.
8+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
Manufacturing industry experience required.
Federal government contracting experience is a plus.
Public accounting experience is a plus (Big 4 experience is a big plus).
Cost‑plus or fixed‑price projects experience is a plus.
CPA license is a plus.
Costpoint ERP experience is a plus.
