Base pay range $63,500.00/yr - $63,500.00/yr
Job Summary Christian Community Health Center (CCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (non-profit) organization that provides high quality affordable healthcare and related services throughout underserved communities in Chicago. The RN is a core member of the clinical team working in collaboration with the CMO, physicians, mid-level clinicians, administrators and others in the day-to-day operations of a community health clinic. Will coordinate clinical nursing efforts to ensure that effective patient care is being provided and that quality standards are met. This position will work one late night per week (Thursday) to meet clinic needs.
Responsibilities
Day to day leadership and supervision of the nursing and clinical support staff including but not limited to: clinic workflow, delegation of work responsibilities and daily assignments, hiring, training/orienting, coaching, disciplining, leading department meetings and providing ongoing performance feedback.
Participates as a member of CCHC’s management team; promotes the Clinic’s goals and philosophies to staff; participates in committees; and actively cooperates with others in support of the Clinic’s goals.
Participate in performance improvement activities using data for clinical and operational outcomes.
Serves as an agency ambassador and promote the best interests of their staff and the patients that they care for.
Develops processes and procedures to ensure quality patient services and compliance of professional standards.
Develops departmental budgets and maintaining inventory of medicines, equipment and supplies.
Oversees the storage and handling of all vaccines, medications, supplies, and examination equipment. Works with staff to order and maintain par levels of all required materials.
Monitor patient care for quality ensuring the delivery of high quality services that complies with patient safety goals and implements risk management procedures according to CCHC policies and procedures.
Ensures that clinical staff comply with quality, service performance and medical record audits. Assists and prepares for any internal or external audits by ensuring compliance with any and all regulations.
Perform onsite reviews regarding quality issues.
Gathers and compiles quality improvement reports, develops and implements corrective action plans.
In collaboration with the CMO and Quality, ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies.
In collaboration with the CMO and Quality, participates in the CCHC Quality Improvement process, collects and analyzes data to monitor the delivery of patient care including but not limited to: discipline specific chart audits, triage, and other quality improvement initiatives.
In collaboration with Quality explores and responds to any patient complaints/grievances.
Performs clinical nursing duties as needed; Triage (walk-ins and telephone); Medication administration either directly or through supervision of staff (LPNs/Mas/CNAs); Vaccine verification; Patient education on health promotion, disease intervention, medication management, self-care, etc.
Manages escalated tasks sent by providers, resolves unmatched labs and/or refills, works with providers on managing broken appointment(s), and emergency/hospitalization follow-up.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
COVID-19 vaccination.
Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
Valid and current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
3 years of experience as a RN Supervisor (community health setting preferred).
Demonstrate project management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, highly developed computer skills, organizational skills, analytical reasoning, and the ability to think critically.
Must be willing and able to work at multiple locations, work a varied and flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of CCHC and our patients.
A working knowledge of medical issues, workflow, triage skills and insurance needs of community health patients.
Intermediate Math and Computer skills
Working knowledge and ability to utilize electronic health record systems, and database systems.
Reliable transportation.
