Role Description The Principal Engineer will utilize expertise in conveyance, collection, distribution, and treatment projects, alongside project management and business development experience, to lead and execute projects and manage project pursuits in Buffalo and beyond. This role offers significant growth opportunities for advancement as you manage delivery teams and build strong client relationships.
Role Accountabilities Lead and manage the development of water and wastewater projects as a client‑facing project manager. Manage budgets, delivery schedules, and project teams to meet deliverables and Arcadis quality and safety practices. Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, safety audits, or planning.
Qualifications & Experience
15+ years in water and wastewater, covering all facets of project development and delivery: planning, condition assessment, detailed design, QA/QC, and construction services.
Minimum 10 years of project management experience leading multi‑disciplined teams and managing small to large municipal water and wastewater projects.
Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
P.E. license in New York.

Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $165,000 – $210,000.
