ARES is hiring a senior cybersecurity engineer to support a critical Department of Defense cybersecurity program. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting system security assessments in accordance with DoD and Navy requirements, including RMF processes, STIG compliance, and cybersecurity control validation. The candidate should have experience supporting in an ISSE, ISSO, and/or ISSM role or similar. Responsibilities include cyber threat analysis, cyber engineering support, blue and red team assessments, cyber architecture design, and cyber policy support.
This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the cybersecurity field, including support for cyber engineering and analysis activities, RMF, control validation, vulnerability assessments, and accreditation. Minimum IAT Level II certification (e.g., CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or equivalent) Proficient in technical services and analysis with knowledge of cybersecurity standards, principles, practices, and processes.
