A very fast growing, prestigious, well‑funded Construction Company in Miami is seeking a Senior Project Accountant (Construction) for their South Florida headquarters. Position Title:
Project Accountant
Salary:
$80K to $105K + annual bonus. Salary is based upon experience, qualifications, professional licenses (CPA) etc.
Technical Skill Set Required
Experience with all general, full cycle Accounting responsibilities: General Ledger, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, AP/AR
Calculate and oversee all finances of a project
Significant experience with AIA Billing, draw balances, WIP
Planning construction projects' budgets, performing cost analyses, and reviewing purchase orders, invoices, and supplier contracts.
Performing accounting duties throughout the project, such as preparing invoices, estimating cash flow, and signing off on purchase orders.
Review project bids and estimates to ensure accurate price quotes and project scheduling
Review and approve vendor invoices and subcontractor bills
Maintain files on general ledger, assets, and mills
Maintain files on contracts, warranties, insurance policies
GAAP Experience
Advanced Excel User
Must have mid‑size to large corporate accounting experience.
Reports to executive management
Job Requirements
Minimum of 3 years Project / Construction Accounting experience
Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college / university, with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
Public Accounting background preferred
CPA or CPA in progress preferred
