Mechanical Superintendent - Heavy Civil and Industrial Base pay range: $110,000 - $140,000 per year.

We are a Heavy Civil and Industrial firm in Utah with over 75 years of experience. We seek a self‑perform Mechanical Superintendent for wastewater treatment plant construction and pump flow projects.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct all on‑site activities for self‑perform crews, ensuring compliance with project plans, schedules, and specifications.

Develop and implement detailed work plans to optimize crew productivity and resource allocation.

Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to timelines.

Oversee equipment usage, maintenance, and allocation to maximize efficiency.

Manage labor force, including scheduling, training, and mentoring team members to ensure peak performance.

Monitor project budgets, labor costs, and material usage to ensure profitability.

Proactively identify and resolve potential schedule delays to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

Minimum 7-10 years of heavy civil construction experience with at least 5 years in a superintendent role overseeing self‑perform operations.

Strong understanding of process/mechanical/yard piping, earthwork, utilities, structural concrete, paving, and other heavy civil scopes.

Proficient in reading blueprints, project specifications, and construction schedules.

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30‑Hour safety training, CPR and First Aid certification, and a valid driver’s license are highly desirable.
