Responsibilities
Oversee each stage of litigation, including shaping overall strategy, managing discovery efforts, preparing and reviewing motions, and coordinating with outside counsel.
Handle pre-litigation matters, including mediations and arbitration proceedings, to secure positive resolutions for the company.
Create and improve internal workflows, guidelines, and resources to make litigation management more efficient.
Provide guidance to teams across the organization on a wide range of regulatory and compliance matters at the local, state, and federal levels.
Perform comprehensive legal analysis and research.
Track and assess new laws, regulations, and policy changes that may impact the business.
Must-Have Skills
Juris Doctor degree from a top law school.
Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state (NY is a plus).
5-10 years of litigation experience.
Previous work as a federal prosecutor or in-house counsel within the technology sector.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in the technology/software industry.
Background in employment or labor laws.
