The Tax Manager - Income/Franchise, State and Local Tax will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of income and franchise taxes and state and local tax compliance for the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SALT and experience as a Tax Manager. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of income and franchise tax compliance for the company. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all required state and local tax returns. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax positions and strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify tax planning opportunities and minimize tax risks. Manage relationships with external tax advisors and government agencies. Provide guidance and training to junior tax staff. Review and analyze financial data to identify potential tax savings opportunities. Prepare and present tax reports to senior management. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's in Taxation preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in SALT and income franchise tax. Previous experience as a Tax Manager or equivalent role. Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
