Overview
Oles and Associates is seeking an experienced and strategic Tax Manager to lead our tax department and provide high-level tax planning and compliance services to our diverse client base. This person will oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, advise clients on tax strategies, and mentor a team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and nonprofit tax returns
Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services to clients in various industries
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
Supervise, mentor, and train staff and senior accountants on tax procedures and best practices
Communicate effectively with clients to address questions, gather documentation, and deliver tax-saving strategies
Conduct technical tax research and stay current with evolving tax legislation and trends
Manage tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field
CPA license required
Minimum 7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax
Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and planning for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Commitment to client service and continuous professional development
