Company Description
Casa Q is dedicated to providing safe housing and essential services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning (LGBTQ) youth, and their allies who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. LGBTQ youth are disproportionately affected by homelessness, often due to family rejection, and face increased risks such as victimization, mental health challenges, and substance use. Casa Q seeks to address these critical needs and ensure a supportive environment that empowers youth to thrive. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Casa Q offers care and sanctuary to LGBTQ youth across the region.
Position Development Director – full‑time, on‑site role located in Albuquerque, NM.
Responsibilities
Lead annual giving campaigns
Design and manage planned giving initiatives
Cultivate donor relationships
Prepare and manage fundraising budgets
Oversee philanthropy events
Collaborate with leadership and community stakeholders to secure funding and raise awareness of Casa Q’s programs and services
Qualifications
Understanding of and experience with Planned Giving and Annual Giving programs
Proven success in fundraising and building donor relationships
Strong knowledge of philanthropy principles and strategiesExperience in budgeting and managing fundraising efforts within financial constraints
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Familiarity with nonprofit operations and dedication to the mission of serving at‑risk LGBTQ youth
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or a related field is preferred
